Martingale Collars have been used on Greyhounds and other sighthounds for years. However they are perfect for any dog whose head circumference is smaller than their neck circumference.
 
Designed to gently tighten around your dogs neck these collars are also a perfect alternative to standard collars for dogs that have a tendency to run suddenly. Similar in design to Half check chain collars, martingales are a gentler alternative for sensitive necks.
 
When fitted correctly the collar will sit comfortably around the dogs neck when in a relaxed position. once tightened the two loops should sit approx 2" apart, preventing your dog from being able to slip its collar.
